This weekend, the Eayikes crew is embarking on our 3rd arts camp in LA, called Seed Arts. Back in 2013, our very first youth camp was an art-centered mentorship weekend in Long Beach, so this one is special to our hearts. The mission of our Seed Arts initiative is to facilitate a space of trust, connection, and self reflection through community and art. Our goal is to transform the way youth understand to connect, and create a-ha moments they can bring back to their lives. We believe the arts are powerful. They not only teach creativity and self-confidence, but can serve as a common ground to bring people together.

Throughout the weekend, the youth will participate in Art Labs, where they will learn the basics in photography, DJing, playing the ukelele, and work on a collective art piece. On Sunday night, we will be celebrating the works of our campers and our diverse community with a final art showcase at camp. We would love to have our friends and family join us at the showcase to celebrate their works and connect with the community!
