What a beautiful day spent with the locals of Rose Park in Long Beach! This is our second year hanging with the Rose Park Neighborhood Association and friends. Gretchen and the RPNA invited us out to share the Eayikes love. We facilitated games like LadderBall and the Eayikes classic Ship to Shore, handed out free homemade goodies (with a catch of course!), and gave our time, smiles & hugs to get to know the community's youth & adults.
The lemonade stand in action!
During the event, there was this amazing group of Jazz musicians called the Jazz Angels. They are also a non-profit organization and their mission is to improve quality of life through Jazz education, performance, and community awareness. What was so neat about Jazz Angels was their youth musicians who come from Long Beach, OC, and LA to perform with professionals. For their last song, there was a wonderful moment where one of our own, Sophie, mustered up the courage to freestyle "skat" in collaboration with the Jazz Angels. Check it out!
Huge thanks to the RPNA for having us, and to the creator of the selfie stick! Community love!
