As we lead up to our youth camp, Wilderwonder in July, we want to create opportunities for our youth community to grow and connect with each other. Our goal in our work with young people is to foster a sense of healing, belonging, and empowerment, while cultivating a supportive and uplifting community.
For March, we're having a community boxing class with our friends over at City Of Angels boxing. They're a community oriented gym with a class that is upbeat and welcoming to all levels of experience in boxing. So even if you're just coming out to give it a try, we're sure you'll feel the welcoming vibes. The owners Alex and Jesse have been gracious enough to donate the gym and a personalized class in order to help us raise funds for our youth programming. Our suggested donation is $20, and we also have a free ticket option, as we want anyone to be able to join us without means as a barrier.
City of Angels will also be providing wraps and boxing gloves for all attendees. If you want to just come and hang out and watch the class, you are also more than welcome to do that! We hope to see you at City of Angels!
